The indexes and the electronically reproduced and enhanced pages of
Harper's Weekly and the software provided by HarpWeek that
you are operating and/or accessing contained on this site are
intellectual property (including but not limited to copyright,
patent, trademark and trade secrets) of HarpWeek, LLC. Your access,
use, and display of this intellectual property is conditioned on
your compliance with agreements between HarpWeek, LLC and your
institution providing access. If you do not agree to limited use of
the Product then access will be denied.

Web Access Agreement: Definition of Terms
"Content" shall mean all indexes, scans (including, but not limited to, scans of works in the public domain, and derivative works therefrom), texts (including, but not limited to, typed text of work in the public domain and derivative works therefrom), graphics, photographs, animations, scripts, icons, audio, data and all other non-Software components of the Product.
"Product" shall mean the Content, Software and Documentation available on this site.
"Software" shall mean all computer code (both source and object), applets, interfaces, commands, syntax and expressions of ideas that operate, cause, create, direct, manipulate, access or otherwise affect the Content in the Product, whether created by HarpWeek or licensed from third parties; when applicable, Licensee will receive only the object code version of the portion of the Software for use on the client device accessing the Internet.

Web Access Agreement: Conditions of Use
You shall NOT, without prior written consent of HarpWeek:
Use the Product, or any component thereof, for any commercial purpose, including, but not limited to, advertising or subscription.
Disclose, use, display or make available the Product or any component thereof to any third party in excess of Fair Use.
For a period of more than seventy-two (72) hours, cache or otherwise temporarily store the Product or component thereof, on any server or other device used to communicate with individual personal computers or personal devices. Such limitation does not include cache which is automatically stored by a an individual personal browser application.
Publish, re-publish, distribute or transmit the Product or any component thereof to any person or entity in excess of Fair Use.
Other than for Fair Use purposes, print or download all or any component or excerpts of the Product, including Software or Content, on a systematic or methodical basis, via manual or automated/computer/software assisted means.
Store the downloaded Content in any electronic/magnetic/optical or other format now known or hereinafter created for more than ninety (90) days.
Assign, rent, lend, lease, sell, sublicense, transfer, export from the United States, copy, reproduce, modify, adapt, translate, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, extract components, or create derivative works of the Product or component thereof.
Remove, modify or hide or otherwise make unreadable or non-viewable any notice, legend, advice, watermark or other designation contained on the Product, component thereof, or output therefrom.
When HarpWeek is used or referenced in commerce, advertisements, subscriptions, in any activity that creates revenue or in any print or electronic media, HarpWeek must receive appropriate attribution in accordance with prevailing scholarly standards.

You are encouraged to operate your browser software to access this
HarpWeek Internet site in order to access the Software to display,
download and/or print the Content subject to the limitations
of Fair Use pursuant to the Copyright Act, and the additional
limitations stated in the Conditions of Use. All
downloading, printing or other usage in excess of the limitations
therein requires prior written permission from HarpWeek, by contacting
